Job Summary:
The Director, Customer Solutions Engineering will be responsible for leading Sales Engineering and Project Engineering teams and ensure sales methodology and best practices are followed, and CRM system is properly used.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Provide technical oversight and coordination of project engineering work through project meetings and other means, monitor progress against project schedules and budgets;
  • Develop internal training plans for new Project Engineers;
  • Develop continuing education training plans for Sales and Project Engineers;
  • Deliver sales presentations, present technical information regarding the company’s products and services, and conduct product demonstrations;
  • Collaborate with marketing team on new customer requirements;
  • Collaborate with product development team to implement customer requirements;
  • Conduct regular site visits to field offices to ensure field teams are kept abreast of latest technology developments;
  • Manage company participation in major trade shows/events;
  • Support Regional Sales Managers and Sales Engineer teams with sales campaigns and customer management activities;
  • Assess customer information, identify and address problem areas, formulate solutions, and present solutions; and
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers regarding technical and non-technical techniques for securing new customers, managing customers, managing projects, and communicating with customers.
  • Work from home benefit available.
  • 60 ~ 75% domestic & international travel required to company facilities in PA & KS and unanticipated customer locations.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5 years of experience as an Engineer, System Integration Specialist, or a related occupation;
  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related field;
  • Supervisory experience with a minimum of 5 direct reports;
  • Experience performing system design and on-site integration, configuration, troubleshooting, and testing of SCADA projects;
  • Experience testing, configuring and troubleshooting various Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) in the electric utility industry;
  • Experience configuring Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications;
  • Experience composing product, project and incident recovery documentation;
  • Experience providing off-site and on-site customer support including troubleshooting SCADA architecture and industry best practices;
  • Experience working, training, designing and delivering products with various SCADA protocols;
  • Experience with programming languages: C, C++, and SQL;
  • Experience with Orion Automation equipment; and
  • Experience with Bitronics meters.
